7 most popular drug and alcohol posts for 2016

In 2016, we published over 70 posts on drug and alcohol topics, including posts on workplace drug and alcohol testing, drug and alcohol awareness, and drug and alcohol support. So which of these posts have been the most popular and most widely viewed? Let’s take a look, starting at number 7:

  • Codeine a concern focussed on the risk people are taking by inadvertently or deliberately taking over the counter codeine medications above the recommended dosage. It can lead to a positive drug test on the road or at work, but more importantly can leave people vulnerable to accidents.
  • Queensland Police’s decision to choose the Drager DrugTest 5000 unit – the same as used by Integrity Sampling for its workplace drug testing – meant they could conduct testing quickly, easily and accurately. See Queensland Police choose the Drager drug testing unit.
  • Some people look for ways of cheating their way through workplace drug testing. But the fact is – which is explored in How can you pass workplace drug testing? – you can’t. If you’ve taken drugs and you face drug testing at work, you’d better hope that the drugs have had enough time to clear your system.
  • If you’ve taken drugs and then been pulled over by roadside drug testing or faced random drug testing at work, you may have asked the question, How accurate is saliva drug testing? The answer – very accurate! In fact the equipment used by Integrity Sampling and many police forces around the world has an accuracy that exceeds 99%.
  • Drager unit compliant with Australian Standards isn’t a new post – in fact it was published in May 2014. But it’s still proving popular with readers, making this post the third most viewed for 2016.
  • How will employees react to the introduction of workplace drug testing and what are Australia’s workplace drug testing laws? Australian workplace drug testing laws – where do I stand? answered these questions and in the process proved very popular with readers.
  • A post on Can you beat saliva drug testing? was clearly the most popular post in 2016, with more than 1000 people taking a look. Hopefully they gleaned the most important fact from this post – that there’s no magic way of beating saliva drug testing other than ensuring you don’t drive or work for a period of time after taking drugs. Better still, don’t take drugs in the first place!

Drug and alcohol topics on Integrity Sampling’s website are proving popular.
